Volunteer at the Red Cross

There are many opportunities to get involved at the American Red Cross Genesee-Lapeer Chapter.  You can:

• Help save a life - donate blood or work at a blood program.  Greet donors, assist the collection staff and serve refreshments.  Hours are flexible.

• Drive a Red Cross vehicle - transport blood to hospitals and volunteers to blood programs.

• Give emergency assistance to fire victims, join a Disaster Action Team.  

• Provide the link between military service members and their families by becoming a Red Cross Military Services volunteer.

• Drive Lapeer residents to medical appointments through the Med-A-Ride program.

• Help prepare others for an emergency - teach a First Aid or CPR class.

• Man an exhibit and display, work a health fair or a first aid station.

• Keep someone warm - make an afghan for KOOL - Knit Out Of Love.

• Teach fire safety skills to children.

• Become a member of the Red Cross Speakers Bureau.

• Provide clerical support in our offices.

• Man the reception desk a 1/2 day per week.
